There’s no other place like the Plaza when it comes to seeing our favorite shows, and there’s no other place like El Paso! Located right on the tip of Texas and us right in the heart of town, we’re known for bringing you some of the best shows and moments in Tex-Mex music history right here every weekend long, all year long! And we’re keeping that same energy right here on November 8th when we bring the El Paso symphony to the stage for a once in a lifetime performance of everyone’s favorite movie that truly got us all into ninth grade Geology. Jurassic Park is coming to a stage near us this November, and we wanted to make sure you came along for the ride! And if you didn’t know before, Jurassic Park has been hitting stops all over the country making crowds roar - in excitement, of course. Hitting stops like
Orlando’s Steinmetz Hall, Waco Hall in Waco Texas, Denver’s Boettcher, Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto, a night in Tokyo back in July, Raleigh North Carolina, The Walmart AMP and of course - right here in El Paso for all us to hum our fav movie melodies to.
Jurassic Park is the legendary 90s film that needs no introduction. Taking place on a remote island off the coast of Costa Rica that is soon opening to the public with the out-of-this-world idea to have live dinosaurs running alongside you as you’re riding your favorite coaster at Jurassic Theme Park, wealthy inventor John Hammond invites industry insiders and his family to the island to test out the rides and check out the vibes at the park before opening to the public. But things take an unexpected twist as the 90s influencers descend on the park for the weekend of fun and dino-mania… but for that part, you’ll just have to wait to see how it all goes down at the Plaza! Yep y’all - we’ll get the movie AND the El Paso Symphony playing the music at the same time - how fun, right ?!
The El Paso Symphony got their start 95 years ago in the city, and since 1930 they have been bringing an eclectic flare of music and worldly sounds to our city for generations to enjoy. The group has over 90,000 listeners and attendees of the concerts per year - and we can’t wait to be concert goer 79,621 and 79,622 with you in the crowd next Saturday.
